Job summary

Navarro Research and Engineering is seeking a Mid-to-senior Process Engineer to support a new Nuclear Fuel Facility. You will develop process calculations, update P&IDs, prepare equipment specifications, and coordinate with designers and vendors to move deliverables forward.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in chemical, nuclear, or mechanical engineering with 5+ years of process engineering experience in nuclear or high-hazard facilities, strong writing and communication skills, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, nuclear, or mechanical engineering.
• 5+ years of process engineering experience in nuclear/high-hazard facilities.
• Hands-on experience with calculations, P&IDs, datasheets, and vendor coordination.
• Ability to interpret process requirements, drawings, and vendor data.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, process safety concepts, and design practices.
• Strong writing, analytical, and cross-discipline coordination skills.
• Ability to obtain site access and security clearances; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop process calculations, hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, and datasheets.
• Prepare and update PFDs, P&IDs, process design criteria, line lists, equipment lists, and system descriptions.
• Coordinate with vendors on submittals, deviations, and procurement decisions.
• Participate in design reviews and commissioning planning.
• Coordinate interfaces with multiple engineering disciplines.
