Job summary

A leading design consultancy is seeking a Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join its Buildings team in Austin, Texas. The role involves leading the design and implementation of advanced automation systems for various industries, including semiconductor and pharmaceuticals. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in industrial automation, PLC programming, and controls engineering, with a minimum of 10 years of experience. This is a full-time position that requires both technical skills and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems, instrumentation design, and controls engineering principles.
• Experience with PLC programming, ladder logic, HMI/SCADA development, and BAS graphics.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD required; experience with Revit and BIM environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of instrumentation, process controls, and facility automation systems.
• Prepare wiring and raceway routing plans, data sheets, and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions supporting industrial environments.
