Job summary

Our Company is a global biopharmaceutical leader responsible for powering two large campus plants and related utilities across West Point. This role owns the chiller plant control systems, instrumentation, and cyber security programs, ensuring safe, compliant operation 24/7.

Collaborating with vendors and internal teams, you will develop high-performance HMIs, maintain equipment inventories, and support maintenance and capital projects tied to chiller automation and central utilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or related) required.
• 5+ years of control systems/I&C/automation design and operations experience in power, utilities, chemical, facilities, pharmaceutical or similar industries.
• Experience in automation and technical troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of environmental, safety and regulatory compliance (OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, NFPA, ASME, ANSI, ISA, ISO).
• Experience developing SOPs and standardized procedures for sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Owns and manages Chiller Plant Control Systems and supporting process instrumentation.
• Collaborates with other automation systems within Utility & Energy Operations.
• Provides engineering insight for maintenance and troubleshooting of central utilities instrumentation and control systems.
• Leads alarm management and cyber security programs, and high-performance HMI development.
• Manages active instrument lists and interfaces with OEMs/vendors for automation initiatives.
• Supports budgeting, capital projects, and development of procedures for utilities and facility systems.
• Participates in incident investigations and root cause analysis with timely corrective actions.
