Job summary

CRB is seeking a Lead AIC Engineer to oversee instrumentation and control systems on complex projects. You will coordinate with clients and internal teams, manage discipline budgets, and deliver advanced I&C design packages.

Ideal candidates have ABET‑accredited degrees and 10+ years of I&C design experience, with PE registration or ISA AP certification being a plus. This senior role emphasizes mentorship, technical leadership, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in a discipline-specific field (ChemE, ME, EE or Robotics/Mechatronics) required.
• Minimum of 10 years of Instrumentation & Control System Design experience, preferably in a design firm.
• Professional Engineer registration preferred.
• ISA Certified Automation Professional or equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with clients and external partners.
• Plans and directs work and manages a discipline design budget on large, complex projects.
• Supports project managers in proposals, man-hour planning and scheduling for the discipline scope.
• Leads field surveys and validation of existing conditions.
• Develops design packages, specifications, and I&C deliverables with minimal supervision.
• Mentors junior engineers and designers and leads a discipline team on project execution.
