Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Data Center Mechanical Engineer to support hyperscale data center construction, focusing on design and operations support. You will manage projects from initiation to completion within a Project Management framework, collaborating with diverse teams and external consultants to drive reliability and efficiency.

You will review mechanical systems, participate in value engineering, and help develop solutions with RAM and predictive analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience, with at least 2 years of experience in data center construction.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace and its related products (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
• Experience coordinating scope with multiple trades (architecture, telecom, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and structural).
• Experience with data center projects inside and outside of the US is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and assist mechanical systems development for hyperscale data centers (airside & waterside).
• Oversee A/E design consultants and provide engineering direction.
• Peer review consultants’ deliverables and provide comments/resolutions.
• Analyze value engineering opportunities and RAM model conformance.
• Develop rapid CAD/BIM sketches for visualization and validation.
• Support standard design improvements across products, design, and operations.
