Job summary

X4 Engineering seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead complex hygienic process piping projects across food & beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, and related sanitary environments in North Carolina. You will oversee projects from award through closeout, ensuring strong financial performance, schedule adherence, exceptional quality, and client satisfaction.

The role requires deep experience with hygienic piping systems, stainless fabrication, and sanitary welding, plus a proven ability to lead

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project management experience in industrial construction, with significant hygienic/sanitary piping exposure.
• Experience managing multiple complex capital projects concurrently.
• Experience in food & beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other sanitary environments.
• Strong financial management, scheduling, contract administration, and change management skills.
• PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of multiple hygienic process piping projects simultaneously.
• Develop project execution strategies, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.
• Coordinate operations, field leadership, fabrication teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients; monitor performance and report status.
• Own project financial performance including forecasting, budgeting, billing, and profitability.
• Manage purchase orders, subcontracts, change orders, and contract administration.
• Drive schedules to meet milestones and implement recovery plans for delays.
• Ensure safety, schedule, budget, and quality standards are met.
• Serve as primary client contact and maintain strong relationships throughout the project.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and develop staffing plans; mentor junior PMs.
• Support conflict resolution and promote clear communication among stakeholders.
• Champion safety culture and minimize incidents and rework.
• Participate in root cause analyses and corrective action planning, as needed.
