ACS Professional Staffing is seeking a Senior Hydropower Engineer to lead and expand hydropower projects across the Southeast and beyond. The role combines technical leadership, project management, and client development, with responsibility for design and execution of complex hydropower systems.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license, 15+ years of hydropower experience, and is skilled in coordinating across structural, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and geotechnical disciplines.

Qualifications

• PE license is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 15+ years of experience in hydropower engineering including design, project management, and client engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support hydropower engineering projects across the Southeast and broader U.S. regions.
• Perform and oversee engineering design and analysis for hydropower facilities, including dams, spillways, gates, penstocks, and powerhouse systems.
• Manage large, multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
• Coordinate across engineering disciplines including structural, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and geotechnical.
• Develop and maintain client relationships, supporting business development and regional growth initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership and practical solutions to complex engineering challenges.
• Support project execution from planning and design through construction.
• Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering technical growth and team collaboration.
• Collaborate with internal teams on renewable energy, water resources, and environmental projects.
