Job summary

Bloom Energy seeks a Senior Technologist - Strategic Materials to lead hands-on process development, optimization, and scale-up of hydrometallurgical systems for critical metals production. The role reports to the Director Supply Chain, Commodity Leader and is based on-site in San Jose, CA, with responsibility to translate laboratory results into scalable production workflows.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Metallurgical/Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Geochemistry, or Mining Engineering.
5+ years in mineral processing, metal leaching, or recycling critical minerals.
5+ years in hydrometallurgy, wet chemistry, or related process development.

Responsibilities

Design and run lab- and bench-scale tests for leaching, precipitation, and purification.
Lead hydrometallurgical experiments from lab to pilot scale.
Develop and optimize process conditions for lab, bench, and pilot systems.
Provide technical leadership for wet chemistry work including solution chemistry and pH control.
Translate bench results into pilot-scale or production-ready processes.
