Redwood Materials is seeking a senior technical authority in extractive metallurgy to lead design and optimization of recycling and refining flowsheets. The role spans mechanical separation, high-temperature processing, hydrometallurgical refining, and electrochemical upgrading of battery metals.

The successful candidate will own metallurgical bases, evaluate multiple flowsheet options, and drive scale-up from bench to commercial operation.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in extractive metallurgy, mineral processing or metals process engineering.
• Experience deploying flowsheets from pilot to commercial operation.
• Deep industrial-scale experience in pyrometallurgy or hydrometallurgy, with broader exposure preferred.

Responsabilités

• Serve as senior technical authority on extractive metallurgy for recycling and refining flowsheets.
• Evaluate and select flowsheet options; translate bench data for commercial deployment.
• Own product quality specs and impurity deportment across unit operations; root-cause issues.
• Guide mineral processing and mechanical separation strategies, including comminution and physical concentration.
• Lead scale-up from bench to pilot to commercial operation with mass and energy balances, equipment selection, and vendor testing.
• Collaborate with Business Development to define process pathways and potential feedstocks.
• Advise operations and process engineering on recovery, yield, and reliability; mentor staff.
