Job summary

Burgess & Niple, in the United States, seeks a Senior Hydrogeologist to advance groundwater programs and tackle subsurface challenges on client projects. You will apply state-of-the-art models and deliver results that support regulatory compliance and sustainable outcomes.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, and help grow the groundwater practice through practical problem solving and client-focused solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or Science in Geology, Hydrology or similar; Master of Science preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in environmental consulting.
• Direct experience with MODFLOW, MODPATH, AQTESOLV and Groundwater Vistas.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions and on uneven terrain.
• Adaptable and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset as well as a proactive approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical resource withing the Assessment and Remediation section
• Support groundwater supply, environmental assessment, remediation, landfill compliance and related projects
• Plan and perform hydrologic investigations
• Develop conceptual site models
• Construct, calibrate, and apply groundwater-flow and contaminant-transport models
• Interpret complex geologic and groundwater data
• Prepare technically accurate deliverables
• Develop practical solutions that address client objective and regulatory requirements
