Job summary

Emerson Power & Water Solutions seeks a Hydroelectric Solutions Engineer to lead strategic solutions for hydroelectric generation projects. You will act as a trusted advisor to customers and internal teams, defining scopes and guiding technical and commercial decisions for large capital and EPC projects.

The role focuses on renewable energy, hydropower, and plant control systems, with responsibilities spanning proposal development, architecture, and market trends.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in hydroelectric power.
Experience with industrial automation, control systems, SCADA, DCS, PLCs, and digital technologies in power generation.

Responsibilities

Serve as technical and industry leader for hydroelectric opportunities.
Lead strategic pursuit planning for large hydro projects.
Define project scope and execution strategies with customers and internal teams.
Develop solution architectures for modernization, rehabilitation, and brownfield projects.
Assess risks and identify differentiators to improve competitiveness.
Collaborate with proposal teams to define technical approaches and value propositions.
Present strategies and business benefits to customers and executives.
Develop standard templates, estimating tools, and technical standards.
