Job summary

Emerson Power & Water Solutions in the United States is seeking a Hydroelectric Solutions Engineer to act as a trusted advisor and lead the development of strategic solutions for hydroelectric generation projects. You will collaborate with customers, sales teams, and execution groups to define scope and position Emerson for success on large capital and EPC projects.

The role requires a deep hydroelectric background, experience with plant control systems, SCADA, DCS, and related technologies, and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
15+ years of hydroelectric power industry experience preferred.
Experience with industrial automation, SCADA, DCS, PLCs, and related digital technologies.

Responsibilities

Serve as a technical and industry leader for hydroelectric opportunities throughout the proposal lifecycle.
Lead strategic pursuit planning for large and complex hydro projects.
Collaborate with customers, consultants, EPC contractors, and internal stakeholders to define project scope, execution strategies, and technical requirements.
Develop solution architectures for hydro modernization, rehabilitation, greenfield, and brownfield projects involving plant control systems, SCADA, DCS, instrumentation, and mechanical solutions.
Assess commercial and technical risks, identify differentiators, and recommend strategies to improve project competitiveness and profitability.
