Job summary

The Earthmoving Hydraulic team at Caterpillar in Peoria, IL is seeking a Senior Hydraulics Engineer to lead development of hydraulic components for MWL, MT, and motor grader products. Join a global, cross-functional group delivering durable, high-performance solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Mechatronic) from an accredited institution.
• Experience with hydraulic components in mobile machinery preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with suppliers to develop and validate hydraulic components.
• Evaluate new products to improve design, cost, and performance.
• Provide technical engineering support for CPI and field issue resolution.
• Support APQP activities to meet time, cost, and quality requirements.
• Manage project timelines from concept to pilot production and validation.
• Communicate progress with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage multiple priorities.
