McMillen, Inc. seeks a Senior Applied Hydraulics Engineer to lead hydraulic design for large water resources projects, with emphasis on dams, energy, fisheries, infrastructure, or natural resources.

The candidate will guide multidisciplinary teams and engage clients to deliver practical solutions. The role requires PE licensure, extensive project leadership experience, and the ability to travel up to 25% monthly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Hydraulic Engineering is required.
• Master’s degree in Civil or Hydraulic Engineering is required.
• 20 years of experience in hydraulic engineering.
• 10 years of project management experience preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience with FERC regulations is preferred.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25% monthly.

Responsibilities

• Lead discussions, meetings, and workshops for project teams and clients.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and requirements.
• Initiate and lead marketing and business development pursuits.
• Identify opportunities with new and existing clients.
• Prepare and oversee reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Lead QA/QC reviews per client and company policies.
• Manage project and organizational risks.
