Job summary

Crown Equipment Corporation is seeking a Hydraulic Systems Engineer in New Bremen, OH, to design and evaluate hydraulic systems for forklifts and related equipment. The role requires 5 years’ hydraulic systems experience and a mechanical engineering background.

Onsite work is primary with limited hybrid remote options; relocation assistance may be available. US work authorization is required for indefinite employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or related field.
• 5 years of experience with hydraulic systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through work experience.
• Good written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel 0–5% with overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Hydraulic System Design - Propose hydraulic systems to satisfy vehicle performance and reliability goals; develop specs, design systems, and specify components.
• Hydraulic System and Component Evaluation - Design testing to evaluate performance; interface with suppliers.
• Hydraulic Component Research - Track vendor offerings to support concept development.
• Project Leadership - Assist with project plans, status reports, and production test requirements.
• Miscellaneous - Lead teams, stay updated on hydraulic tools and technologies, and collaborate with multiple groups.
