Job summary

Crown Equipment Corporation seeks a Hydraulic Systems Engineer in New Bremen, OH. The role focuses on designing and evaluating hydraulic systems for forklifts and related equipment, with leadership of project activities and occasional travel.

Responsibilities include developing specifications, prototyping, testing, and collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure performance and reliability while supporting production and service teams on site.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or related degree.
5 years of experience with hydraulic systems (Salary will be commensurate with experience).
Strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through work experience.
Good written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to occasionally travel with overnight stays (0-5%).
Reliable transportation to travel locally between company locations during scheduled workday.

Responsibilities

Hydraulic System Design - Propose hydraulic systems to satisfy vehicle performance and reliability goals.
Oversee design activities to develop, prototype, and launch an approved system and components.
Hydraulic System and Component Evaluation - design tests, monitor results, and select components. Interface with suppliers to meet goals.
Hydraulic Component Research - stay aware of vendor offerings to support concept development.
Project Leadership - assist with project plans, schedules, and status reports; provide technical support.
