Transamerica is seeking a Manager of External Reporting to lead the preparation and coordination of the company’s SEC filings and related disclosures. The role requires managing schedules, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and overseeing the external reporting process in compliance with US GAAP and SEC rules.

The position includes supervising a team, coordinating with external auditors, and supporting SOX controls while driving reporting improvements and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience.
• Eight years of accounting/finance experience including three years of supervisory/management experience.
• CPA preferred and experience with SEC reporting is a plus.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX controls.

Responsabilités

• Manage end-to-end preparation and coordination of SEC filings.
• Oversee external reporting calendars, checklists, and timelines.
• Coordinate inputs with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Coach and develop assigned team members.
• Coordinate with external auditors for reviews and audits.
• Support SOX compliance and internal control activities.
• Review disclosures for compliance with GAAP/SEC and policies.
• Support Workiva-based reporting improvements.
