Job summary

Penumbra, Inc. in Alameda, CA is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to join the Information Security and Compliance team.

This hands-on role will influence long-term security goals, design and enforce network security across on-prem and hybrid cloud environments, and drive incident response and regulatory compliance initiatives. You will collaborate with Security, IT, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to implement secure architectures, manage firewalls and threat prevention

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; 10+ years of related experience or equivalent.
• Master’s degree preferred in CS or Engineering with security emphasis.
• Hands-on design, enforcement and testing/validation of security controls in a large enterprise.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and automation/IaC.
• Proven expertise in Palo Alto, Cisco ISE, SIEM/SOAR and VPN management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure network security of on-premises and cloud-based systems and services.
• Design, implement and enforce secure design standards and control solutions.
• Lead security assessments, configuration verification and reporting.
• Coordinate incident response and collaborate with cross-functional partners.
• Develop roadmaps, standards and documentation for security solutions.
