Penumbra, Inc. in Alameda, CA is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to own and optimize enterprise infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.

You will manage Windows/Linux servers, AD/Entra ID, SAP/Dell Boomi integration support, and backup/recovery processes, while coordinating with vendors on firmware, security, and platform improvements. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with 8+ years of enterprise-level systems administration/engineering experience
• 8+ years of experience supporting Microsoft Technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, ADFS, DNS, DHCP, PowerShell, Intune, and SCCM/SCOM
• 5+ years of experience supporting Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS and Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams
• Experience administering Linux systems; RHEL experience preferred
• Experience supporting SAN/NAS storage environments
• Experience with enterprise backup and recovery procedures
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in Windows and TCP/IP networking
• Experience deploying on-prem virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware)
• Experience installing and maintaining PKI tools
• Experience automating infrastructure provisioning (IaC) and configuration management
• Experience onboarding applications for SSO with SAML/OpenID
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent
• ERP and integration platforms such as SAP and Dell Boomi
• Cisco UCS and other network hardware administration
• DevOps in configuration management and infrastructure automation
• Ability to plan, document, and configure complex system designs
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and urgent issues
• High accuracy and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of infrastructure hardware and software
• Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise systems across on-prem and cloud
• Apply revisions to firmware/software; coordinate with vendors
• Support core infrastructure services: AD/Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, PKI, Group Policy, SCCM/Intune
• Manage SAN/NAS storage for availability and performance
• Maintain backup and recovery procedures and documentation
• Support Azure IaaS/PaaS, Microsoft 365, Windows/Linux servers
• Perform health monitoring, capacity planning, lifecycle mgmt, patching
• Support Hyper-V and VMware virtualization
• Provide after-hours on-call support on rotation
