Job summary

Stanford University is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to build and maintain scalable cloud and hybrid environments. You will deploy IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services, automate provisioning with Terraform, and optimize performance, cost, and security across OCI and AWS.

You will collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure high availability, implement monitoring, and drive incident response and continuous improvement in a hybrid cloud setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and eight years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.
• Extensive Cloud Infrastructure experience including AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI.
• Extensive experience with deploying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services in cloud or hybrid environments.
• Develop automation scripts and IaC templates to provision resources (OCI and AWS) with Terraform.
• Engineer processes across servers, apps, and databases and monitor performance and reliability.
• Own infrastructure design, backup/recovery, and health monitoring of the environment.
• Develop connectivity solutions between campus infrastructure for data availability.
• Collaborate with development and infra teams to optimize cloud-based solutions.
• Ensure monitoring coverage and drive root-cause analysis for issues.
