Job summary

Enterprise Technologies is Stanford University’s core IT unit, seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design and automate cloud infrastructure, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and develop internal APIs across Google Cloud, AWS, and Azure.

You will implement IaC, manage cloud configurations, and ensure security and reliability. Strong scripting and leadership will help drive enterprise collaboration and API integration efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of exp.
• 5+ years in DevOps/SRE/Platform Eng roles.
• Hands-on with public clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP; GCP preferred).
• Programming for API development (Python, Go, Node.js).
• Proficient with CI/CD tools and IaC frameworks.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/ECS.
• Experience integrating Google Workspace in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Develop and deploy containerized apps with Docker and Kubernetes/ECS.
• Create RESTful and GraphQL APIs in Python/Go/Node.js.
• Integrate Google Workspace with internal systems and identity provisioning.
• Monitor health with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
• Enforce security like IAM, secrets mgmt, and policy compliance.
• Collaborate across teams; document infra and APIs thoroughly.
• Lead on-call support, incident response, and RCA.
• Maintain secure, scalable development environments.
