Job summary

The University of Akron is seeking an HVAC Technician to perform skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled installations and repairs on air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating equipment. You will lead teams, train staff, and coordinate with other trades to ensure preventative maintenance and timely work order completion.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid Ohio Driver\'s License, and a current Universal/CFC license.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent trade experience.
• Valid Universal/CFC license and Ohio driver\'s license.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC/R systems.
• Lead and schedule work from work orders; train other staff.
• Read blueprints, plans, and drawings for installations and repairs.
• Order parts and supplies; document time and materials.
• Coordinate with other trades and assist as needed.
