Job summary

Cogent Analytics is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to install, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air‑conditioning systems in residential and light commercial settings in Connecticut. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with codes and manufacturer specs.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of HVAC service experience, CT licensing, EPA 608 certification, and strong customer-service skills.

Qualifications

Licensed HVAC Technician in Connecticut or equivalent state-required HVAC certifications.
EPA 608 Certification required.
Minimum 5 years of residential and light commercial HVAC service experience.
Experience with older HVAC systems and retrofit projects is desirable.
Must have a clean driving record and pass background/drug tests.
Must show legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Plan layout, install, maintain, and test HVAC equipment in residential and commercial settings.
Install/repair furnaces, A/Cs, heat pumps, boilers, ductwork, thermostats and related controls.
Perform system replacements and upgrades; balance airflow and refrigerant as needed.
Read blueprints and wiring diagrams; ensure compliance with codes and manufacturer specs.
Coordinate with customers; communicate timelines and costs; complete service tickets and logs.
Operate service truck and tools; ensure safety and organize materials for upcoming jobs.
