Job summary

The Christ College seeks an experienced HVAC technician to perform installs, repairs and preventive maintenance on refrigeration, air conditioning, heating systems and related equipment across campus facilities in Cincinnati. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of HVAC maintenance/refrigeration experience, a high school diploma or GED, and EPA Recovery Certification Type 2 within the first 90 days.

Familiarity with chillers, boilers, VAV systems and BAS controls is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED.
• 2-4 years of documentable HVAC maintenance and refrigeration experience.
• Certification is required within the first 90 days of employment (EPA Recovery Type 2).
• Experience with chillers, boilers, and VAV systems is preferred.
• Able to read basic wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform installs, repairs and maintenance to HVAC equipment including chillers, boilers and package units.
• Troubleshoot refrigeration and HVAC systems using gauges and meters.
• Inspect, repair and install HVAC equipment and controls, including BAS controls.
• Maintain records of time, labor, materials and parts; order parts as required.
• Ensure compliance with OHIO codes and safety standards.
