Job summary

ODUrent in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Senior HVAC Technician to perform routine maintenance, inspections, and emergency repairs on occupied and vacant homes. You will ensure units meet quality standards, reducing vacancy time and boosting resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years in property maintenance, apartment turnovers, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily work orders for minor repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, etc.)
• Perform preventative maintenance checks on HVAC systems, water heaters, and appliances
• Inspect and repair unit fixtures such as faucets, light switches, locks, and windows
• Conduct property walks to identify hazards or needed repairs
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests during on-call shifts
• Document completed work orders accurately in the property management system
• Conduct monthly preventative maintenance and property inspections
• Identify and resolve maintenance issues proactively
• Record all work accurately in company software systems
• Recommend improvements to maintenance processes and procedures
• Participate in company-provided training and skill-building programs
• Contribute ideas for efficiency and innovation in property upkeep
• Communicate effectively with Team and on-site leadership
• Support team goals during high-volume turnover periods
• Be available for scheduled on-call rotations (typically 1 week per month)
