Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited HVAC training program or apprenticeship.
• EPA Section 608 Certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• 5+ years of experience as an HVAC Technician.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in varied environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems in residential and light commercial settings.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Test and balance systems, including refrigerant, airflow, and temperature checks.
• Respond to emergency service calls promptly and efficiently.
• Explain issues and recommend solutions or upgrades to customers.
• Adhere to safety protocols and refrigerant handling regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
• Manage company tools and equipment.
• Stay current with HVAC technology through ongoing training.
