Job summary

CGL is seeking a Senior HVAC Technician (Rover) to perform preventive and corrective maintenance across multiple facilities in the United States. The role includes driving between sites using a company or personal vehicle for more than 50% of work time and supporting installations as needed.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of commercial HVAC and building maintenance experience, with abilities in electrical, plumbing, and blueprint reading, and is comfortable with some on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC and building maintenance experience.
• Previous experience managing others preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and as-built drawings.
• Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Willing to work on-call shifts.
• Must be able to interact effectively with clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective HVAC maintenance per CMMS work orders.
• Install, repair, and maintain machinery and HVAC components.
• Ensure safe operation of environmental controls and boilers.
• Diagnose problems using inspection/testing techniques.
• Mentor and train other HVAC/General Trades technicians.
• Travel between facilities to resolve maintenance issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and complete required training.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and local codes.
