Job summary

RTX is seeking a Lead Facilities Technician – HVAC Mechanic in Goleta, CA to oversee reliable operation of building systems in a semiconductor wafer fab environment.

You will perform preventive maintenance on HVAC units, chillers, pumps, and water systems, lead small projects, and ensure safety compliance. Candidates should have 8+ years in facilities, an AS/AA degree, and CA driver’s license; lifting 40–50 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in corporate facilities maintenance or industrial setting.
• AS/AA degree or 2-year post-secondary education in lieu of degree.
• 5+ years as HVAC Mechanic with troubleshooting skills (Pneumatic controls, thermostats, VAV).
• 5+ years servicing large air/water cooled chillers and related environmental-control systems.
• 5+ years with water distribution systems (Pumps/ROs).
• 5+ years maintaining large cleanroom air handlers and related HVAC systems.
• Active California state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC units, motors, water pumps, scrubbers and other facilities equipment; follow manuals and specifications; troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facilities equipment.
• Lead safety compliance and support predictive/preventive maintenance programs and small projects.
• Lifting of 40-50 lbs required.
