Job summary

M.C. Dean in Charlottesville, VA is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to troubleshoot, maintain and optimize critical HVAC equipment across our facilities.

You will monitor BAS, perform preventive maintenance on chillers, boilers, VAVs, and life-safety systems, and ensure operations meet energy and safety standards. The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 6+ years of HVAC experience, active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance, and a VA/MD/DC Journeyman License or VMET certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 6+ years of HVAC experience.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.
• Current VA/MD/DC Journeyman License or VMET certification.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain HVAC systems and equipment.
• Operate and monitor building automation systems (BAS) and related equipment.
• Record faults and report deficiencies, and respond to emergencies.
• Mentor less experienced HVAC technicians.
• Perform preventive maintenance on chillers, boilers, VAV, and life-safety systems.
