Job summary

The University of North Georgia is seeking an HVAC Technician IV to support campus facilities across UNG-Dahlonega. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain complex HVAC systems, including BAS controls, to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Join a senior technical team, provide guidance to maintenance staff, and participate in after-hours on-call rotations as needed to support campus operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED; HVAC training preferred.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in commercial or institutional HVAC/R maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State of Georgia HVAC contractor license (Class II preferred).
• EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced troubleshooting, repair, installation, and maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment and systems.
• Independently diagnoses and repairs complex electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and digital control systems.
• Operates, monitors, troubleshoots, and adjusts building automation systems (BAS) to maintain environmental conditions and energy efficiency.
• Performs preventive and predictive maintenance on HVAC and mechanical systems and documents activities.
• Responds to complex HVAC service requests and emergency conditions, including after-hours as necessary.
• Provides technical guidance to HVAC and multi-craft maintenance personnel.
• Utilizes CMMS to manage work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records.
