Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Senior HVAC Technician at Adlai E. Stevenson High School. You will lead hands-on maintenance, support the preventive maintenance program, and ensure safe operation of commercial HVAC systems. Expect to handle complex systems, respond to calls, and possibly train junior staff.

Requires EPA CFC Universal Certification, 5+ years’ related experience, and a valid driver’s license. BMS/BAS experience is a plus. Competitive benefits and schedule flexibility are offered.

By keeping others safe, your actions have meaningful impact.Responsibilities include:Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systemsMonitor HVAC systems and operations and ensure that routine preventive maintenance performs according to established schedules and standardsRespond to hot and cold calls, then troubleshoot and resolve issuesCheck, repairs and/or replaces valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, pipes, and other functional components of the systemAttends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularityMay be responsible for training new technicians in commercial HVAC systems, building management systems (BMS) and building automation systems (BAS).Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.What You Bring:Successful candidates will be team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and nurturers of a healthy/safe working environment for all.5 or more years of related work experience.Holds appropriate license/certification for the specific work to be done in the city and state in which the work will be done.
