Job summary

Sodexo is hiring an HVAC Technician at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center in Elyria, OH. You will install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, monitor performance, and respond to issues to keep operations safe and efficient.

Candidates should have 1+ year experience, EPA CFC Universal certificate, and familiarity with commercial HVAC systems. The role offers full-time employment with a competitive pay range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related work experience.
• EPA CFC Universal Certificate.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems across commercial setups.
• Experience with chilled water, variable air, VRF and other systems.
• BMS experience may be required in some environments.
• License/certification for the city/state where work is done.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems
• Monitor HVAC systems and operations and ensure preventive maintenance as scheduled
• Respond to hot and cold calls, troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Check, repair and/or replace valves, motors, controls, wiring, pumps, and other components
• Attend work and be on time for scheduled shifts
• Other duties may be assigned based on client requirements

What You’ll Do:

As a HVAC Technician at Sodexo, you are a problem-solver and safety promoter. We will rely on your expert knowledge and technical skills to identify repair and replacement needs. By keeping others safe, your actions have meaningful impact.

Responsibilities include:

• Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems
• Monitor HVAC systems and operations and ensure that routine preventive maintenance performs according to established schedules and standards
• Respond to hot and cold calls, then troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Check, repairs and/or replaces valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, pipes, and other functional components of the system
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

What You Bring:

• Successful candidates will be team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and nurturers of a healthy/safe working environment for all.
• 1 or more years of related work experience.
• Holds appropriate license/certification for the specific work to be done in the city and state in which the work will be done. Minimum requirement is EPA CFC Universal Certificate.
• Working knowledge of a variety of HVAC systems, including chilled water systems, variable air, variable refrigerant flow, single/multi-split and other commercial systems.
• May be required to have previous BMS experience if working in a commercial environment.
