Job summary

Rain Bird Corporation is seeking a Senior HVAC Technician to support installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC‑R systems in an onsite industrial/office environment in Arizona.

Responsibilities include leading installation, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and coordination with vendors, with a strong emphasis on safety, compliance, and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• EPA 608 Certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in HVAC-R, mechanical systems, plumbing, or related facility trades.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting and repair experience with HVAC-R systems, mechanical equipment, and plumbing systems including piping, valves, fixtures, and pumps.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in an industrial and office facility environment.
• Knowledge of safety practices, codes, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, replacement, maintenance, and repair of HVAC-R systems, including comfort cooling, chillers, cooling towers, refrigeration equipment, and gas‑fired heating systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, system diagnostics, and complex troubleshooting using electrical, mechanical, and digital control principles.
• Perform plumbing repairs and installations involving piping, valves, drains, fixtures, and pump systems.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to install, maintain, and modify equipment according to specifications and manufacturer requirements.
• Prepare estimates for repair, installation, and replacement of facility equipment.
• Ensure work complies with safety standards, applicable codes, and permitting requirements.
• Coordinate work with internal teams and external vendors, including fire protection system inspections and required certifications.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• Support general facility maintenance and other assigned duties as needed.
