New England Mechanical Services, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our New London CT Operations Group. The ideal candidate has 5 years of commercial HVAC experience and can read blueprints and technical specs to fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal components.

The role requires a Connecticut Sheet Metal 2 License, a valid driver's license, and strong mechanical and communication skills. Safety training and teamwork are essential on-site duties.

Qualifikationen

• Connecticut Sheet Metal 2 License
• 5 years of required experience with commercial HVAC systems
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent communication and written skills are a must.

Aufgaben

• Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products.
• Lays out and marks dimensions and reference lines on material to develop and trace patterns of product or parts or uses templates.
• Set up and operate fabricating machines such as shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls, and routers, to cut, bend, block and form, or straighten materials.
• Train and instruct apprentices related to their on-the-job training requirements.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with supervisor and crew members.
