Position Overview

The Service Technician will work independently or as part of a team to install, startup, troubleshoot, commission, and service commercial HVACR equipment, systems, and units.

Job Responsibilities

1. Analyze work orders, plan daily travel, investigate complaints, conduct tests, and resolve issues for existing accounts.
2. Study system requirements, order components, complete installations, and perform acceptance tests to establish service.
3. Examine customer complaints, identify solutions, suggest improvements, and recommend system enhancements to maintain rapport.
4. Operate personal equipment per instructions, troubleshoot breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and call for repairs as needed.
5. Document all service and installation activities through reports, logs, and records.
6. Maintain customer confidence by keeping information confidential.
7. Enhance professional knowledge through educational opportunities and reading publications.
8. Perform additional duties as directed by management to support organizational goals.

Qualifications

1. Experience working in a service vehicle for an HVAC contractor.
2. VRF experience is preferred; BAS/DDC Controls experience is a plus.
3. Own tools required.
4. Reliable with excellent oral and written communication skills.
5. Willingness to undergo pre-employment screening, including background checks and drug testing.
6. Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience.
7. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
