Job summary
Walmart Distribution Center in West Mifflin, PA is hiring a Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration to maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and assets across sites. The role requires hands-on trade skills and the ability to work on ladders and at heights.
You’ll respond to emergency calls, document repairs, and use work orders to support stores and associates. Shifts may vary and compensation ranges from $35 to $70 per hour depending on experience and location.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- AAS in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or equivalent experience preferred.
- EPA Type I/II or Universal certification for refrigerant handling.
- 5+ years in HVAC/refrigeration or 7 years in related trades.
- Valid state driver’s license with clean MVR.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment and assets using multiple craft skills.
- Utilize the work order system to receive and document repairs.
- Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
- Inspect facilities and equipment to diagnose issues.
- Complete required safety trainings for equipment operation.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
- Vocational or Technical certification and 5 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade, or 7 years' experience in one of these trades.
- 1 year's experience using intermediate-level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Can lift up to 75 lbs.
- Can Move up and down ladders frequently
- Comfortable working at heights frequently
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets by utilizing multiple craft skills (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs
- Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair Work Orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities
- Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
- Inspecting, operating, or testing facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
- Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely

Hold and maintain Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.
Where required, HVAC-R/ Mechanical Journeyman.
1 year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area or 2 years’ Walmart store experience.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
