Job summary

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking a Project Manager - Mechanical (HVAC) in Wall Township, NJ. Lead HVAC design for diverse buildings, mentor engineers, and drive projects from planning through construction.

You will manage budgets, client relationships, and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver energy-efficient solutions. The role requires 10+ years in mechanical engineering with HVAC design in consulting, and a NJ PE license; LEED credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering with HVAC design in a consulting setting.
• Professional Engineer license in New Jersey required; LEED or similar sustainability credentials preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC design software and project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC design projects across commercial, institutional, industrial, and residential buildings.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams; manage client relationships.
• Provide technical leadership in load calculations, system sizing, equipment selection, and energy efficiency.
• Prepare technical documentation, conduct site visits, and mentor junior engineers.
