Job summary

Shapiro & Duncan, Inc. is seeking a Special Projects Project Manager to oversee HVAC and plumbing projects, coordinating field forces, subcontractors and major equipment purchases.

The role includes bidding, proposal writing and selling new work, with emphasis on timing, communication and technical understanding. The candidate must have a strong track record in HVAC, with utilities of project oversight, budgeting and scheduling, and be able to manage client relations while delivering

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years in the HVAC trade with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• College AA Degree desirable; High School Diploma minimum.
• Advance training in HVAC and plumbing.
• Management, time management, and sales training.
• Proficient with Word and Excel for project documentation and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Visit job sites, lead kick-off and progress meetings, and coordinate subs and field forces.
• Review daily reports, coordinate with design engineers, and ensure quality and punch list completion.
• Bid, write proposals, and manage pricing, quotes, and client communications.
• Track equipment, subcontractors, and budgets; process monthly billing and change orders.
• Mentor staff, maintain momentum, and ensure high-quality customer experience.
