Job summary

Artheon is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer - HVAC Design to lead the mechanical systems design for a range of infrastructure projects in New Jersey. The role combines hands-on technical design with project leadership and client interaction.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 8+ years of experience, and preferably a New Jersey PE license or reciprocity. Proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit and knowledge of ASHRAE/NFPA codes are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• NJ Professional Engineer license preferred or ability to obtain through reciprocity.
• 8+ years mechanical engineering experience with HVAC focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for public, institutional, and infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver compliant, cost-effective solutions.
• Review drawings, specifications, and construction documents; ensure code compliance.
• Provide field support, commissioning, and issue resolution to improve system performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to QA/QC processes.
