Job summary

Thayer, LLC seeks an experienced Mechanical Services Project Manager to lead commercial HVAC and mechanical projects from handoff through completion. The role blends technical know‑how with financial discipline to deliver on time, within scope, and within budget.

Working with sales, service operations, and field leadership, you will translate commitments into executable plans, manage costs, procurement, and change orders, and maintain strong client relations in a safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of project management experience in commercial HVAC or related field.
• Demonstrated financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, specs, estimates, and contracts.
• Experience coordinating multiple projects and teams across sites.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with leadership ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from handoff through closeout, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
• Coordinate with sales, estimates, and field leadership to confirm scope and requirements.
• Own project financial performance and manage budgets, costs, and changes.
• Plan schedules, align staffing, and coordinate procurement and logistics.
• Maintain project documentation and communicate with customers and stakeholders.
