Job summary

AbbVie Inc. in Durham, North Carolina, is hiring a Sr. Manager, HVAC to lead design, start-up, qualification and ongoing operation of pharmaceutical HVAC systems within a new manufacturing campus.

You will guide cross‑functional teams across validation, quality, automation and maintenance, set technical standards, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance with GMP and environmental controls throughout the facility lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant industry experience in GMP manufacturing environments.
• Experience with drug substance, drug product, biologics or aseptic fill finish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC design reviews and site-wide HVAC execution.
• Oversee start-up, commissioning, and qualification activities for HVAC systems.
• Establish and manage HVAC operating and maintenance programs post turnover.
• Provide technical leadership and cross‑functional collaboration across Manufacturing, Quality, Validation and Automation.
