Job summary

The Pictsweet Company in Bells, TN seeks an HVAC Superintendent to lead our engineering team at the corporate office. You will oversee technicians, manage preventive maintenance, and ensure reliable HVAC and building systems across facilities and trailers.

You will drive energy efficiency initiatives, coordinate repairs with vendors, monitor budgets, and maintain safety and regulatory compliance while keeping operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• HVAC experience required with building operations knowledge.
• Experience supervising technicians and coordinating workloads.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of safety codes and environmental requirements.
• EPA Section 608 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership and Supervision: supervise daily activities of technicians, assign work, set priorities, and mentor staff.
• HVAC Systems Management: oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, refrigeration, and related systems.
• Preventative Maintenance: create and monitor preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Building and Facilities Maintenance: coordinate repairs to maintain a safe, functional office environment.
• Work Order Management: review, prioritize, assign, and track maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Safety and Regulatory Compliance: ensure compliance with safety, codes, and company policies; maintain records.
• Vendor and Contractor Coordination: manage external contractors and obtain service proposals.
• Budget and Resource Management: assist with budgets and monitor maintenance expenses.
• Equipment and Inventory Management: track parts, tools, and supplies.
• Energy Efficiency and Continuous Improvement: pursue improvements to HVAC performance and energy use.
• Documentation and Reporting: keep accurate maintenance records and report priorities to management.
• Emergency Response: handle after-hours HVAC failures and facility disruptions.
