Job summary

Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking an HVAC Lead responsible for the maintenance, repair and installation of County owned HVACR equipment under supervision. The role requires inspecting equipment, performing routine maintenance, operating gas cooling systems, and fabricating ductwork.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED with HVAC training and over five years' experience, valid licenses (HVAC Supervisor’s and Refrigerant Usage), and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with specialized HVAC training and 5+ years in maintenance/HVAC.
• HVAC Supervisor’s License and Refrigerant Usage License required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive county vehicle to job sites.
• Knowledge of codes related to refrigeration, electrical and building systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and plan refrigeration installations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect HVACR equipment for proper operation and safety; ensure codes met.
• Perform routine maintenance: filters, lubrication, belts.
• Operate gas cooling systems and refrigerant handling.
• Repair refrigeration systems; test components and replace worn parts.
• Install refrigeration systems per blueprints; fabricate ductwork.
• Move and operate tools; pass background checks as required.
• Overtime and on-call duties as needed.
