Job summary

Daikin Applied is seeking a full-time HVAC Installation Technician III - Pipefitter/Welder to install and service commercial HVAC systems across a range of equipment including rooftops, chillers, boilers, and water-source systems. You will lead junior technicians, mentor peers, and ensure safety standards are met while maintaining quality workmanship.

The role involves hands-on installation, maintenance, and retrofit projects with potential travel.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
HVAC certification or associate degree preferred.
5+ years of related experience with increasing responsibility or equivalent.
Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
Local licensure or training as required by local law.
Rotational Emergency Call Support availability as required.
Experience mentoring less experienced technicians.
EPA Universal Technician Certification preferred.
OSHA 10 certification preferred.
First aid/CPR card preferred.

Responsibilities

Install commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters and belts, and lubricating components.
Repair or replace defective equipment, wiring, and components in fans, chillers, AHUs, rooftops, and boilers.
Maintain and inspect equipment to prevent breakdowns and callbacks.
Analyze chiller trend data for optimal performance.
Lead rebuilds and retrofits; guide Levels I and II technicians through steps.
Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, and other reports timely.
Communicate with customers with status updates before, during, and after service calls.
Participate in available training and maintain required certifications.
