Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas is hiring an HVAC Installation Technician III – Pipefitter/Welder to install and service a range of commercial/industrial HVAC systems in the Washington DC/Baltimore area. You will lead advanced platform rebuilds and mentor junior technicians while ensuring safety and high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities include installation, repair, maintenance, and performance analysis of chillers, rooftops, boilers, and water-source systems.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree or HVAC cert preferred.
At least 5+ years of related experience with increasing responsibility.
Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record; local legal training may apply.
EPA Universal Technician Certification preferred; OSHA 10 preferred.
Mentoring experience with junior technicians is a plus.

Responsibilities

Install commercial HVAC equipment, log machines, clean coils, and lubricate components.
Repair and replace faulty equipment and wiring across various HVAC systems.
Inspect and maintain equipment to prevent breakdowns and callbacks.
Analyze chiller trend data to optimize performance.
Lead rebuilds and retrofits, guiding Levels I and II on-site.
Document billing, inventory, timecards, and reports promptly.
Explain technical info clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Participate in training programs and maintain required certifications.
Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow OSHA/Daikin policies.
Possible travel with overnight stays as required.
