Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC) to own fluid and HVAC systems across the campus, design, analyze, test, and manufacture fluid system elements for spaceflight manufacturing facilities.

You will perform CAD modeling, fluid analyses, and work with production teams to ensure reliability, with opportunities for long-term incentives, stock plans, and comprehensive benefits as part of SpaceX's total rewards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience with valves, pumps, COPVs, heat exchangers, pressure transducers or temperature sensors.

Responsibilities

• Own fluid/HVAC components across campus and act as SME.
• Perform CAD modeling and design of fluid systems.
• Conduct fluid analyses for pressure balance and component design.
• Collaborate with production, avionics, GNC, and mission ops teams.
• Ensure designs are manufacturable and integrate with manufacturing.
