Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Maintenance Engineer in Phoenix, AZ for a contract-to-hire role. You will operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, and related systems across multiple facilities.

The position emphasizes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation, with after-hours calls and weekend support as needed. The role requires 4+ years in building engineering, strong HVAC/R expertise, and the ability to travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Four+ years in building engineering including HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and production equipment maintenance.
• Technical expertise in HVAC and refrigeration systems, including supermarket refrigeration.
• Multiskilled across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and material handling equipment.
• CFC universal recovery certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Proficient with CMMS (Corrigo) to manage and document work orders.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently.
• Valid state driver's license and ability to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, and building systems to ensure efficient operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair work orders on facility systems and components.
• Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment, focusing on HVAC/R systems.
• Maintain records; document maintenance activities and orders in CMMS.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and vendors to schedule activities.
• Be available for call-ins, overtime, and weekend work as needed.
