Matrix Technologies, Inc. seeks a Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer for our Indianapolis, IN office. This salaried role includes eligibility for overtime and requires an active PE license.

The ideal candidate will lead HVAC design quality, grow the team, and interact with clients to drive successful projects. Responsibilities include HVAC/plumbing system design, multi-discipline coordination, creating construction documents, and ensuring compliance with energy codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Active PE license required.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Six+ years of Mechanical Engineer-HVAC experience.
• Experience in Commercial/Industrial HVAC design consulting.
• Travel up to 10% per year.
• Strong written and verbal communication; leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to HVAC and plumbing design projects.
• Lead multi-discipline teams and mentor staff.
• Interface with clients, vendors, and contractors.
• Perform HVAC load calculations, energy modeling, and optimization.
• Prepare drawings, reports, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with local codes and standards.
• Develop proposals with project managers within budgets.
