A Professional Engineer license, leadership experience, and strong communication are required for coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and interfacing with clients across diverse projects. Qualifications

• Active PE license required.
• 6+ years experience in Mechanical HVAC or equivalent.
• 6+ years of Commercial/Industrial HVAC and Plumbing design consulting.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE code for comfort cooling, ventilation, and dust collection.
• Previous team or project leader experience.
• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to travel up to 10% per year.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Technical report writing skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
• LEED/Green Building knowledge a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication, leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to HVAC and plumbing system design projects.
• Design and implement mechanical systems in new or existing buildings.
• Interface with clients, vendors, and contractors.
• Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and system optimization.
• Adhere to local energy codes and permitting processes.
• Survey mechanical systems and building conditions.
• Prepare construction documents, drawings, reports, and specs.
• Maintain client relations and pursue new opportunities.
• Supervise project personnel and mentor staff.
• Align work with Matrix quality standards and project budgets.
