Job summary

Consulting Engineering Services (CES) in San Antonio, TX seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer/HVAC to design and coordinate mechanical systems under the Project Manager. The role emphasizes energy performance analysis, equipment selection, and on-site collaboration with clients, designers, and owners.

The position requires a BS in mechanical engineering, 5+ years of HVAC experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit. PE license is strongly preferred; travel to job sites will be necessary.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in HVAC and building mechanical systems
• BSME or equivalent degree or combination of education/experience
• Proven design experience in building operation, energy use, building automation
• Must be able to travel to sites as needed

Responsibilities

• Design and layout of mechanical systems under Project Manager direction
• Coordinate mechanical, functional and administrative matters for project plans and specs
• Troubleshoot field issues with process members and area experts
• Prepare progress reports and manage projects from inception to completion
• Perform energy performance evaluations including cooling/heating loads, duct sizing and equipment selection
